COLUMBUS, Ga — It’s a time of year that many kids look forward to, not only Halloween and lots of candy, but also time for the fair!
Kissel Entertainment, the Greater Columbus’s Fair new carnival provider, wanted to make this year extra special for kids with special needs. They opened up the midway early for the kids on Thursday morning to get to experience the excitement of the fair with their friends and teachers.
More than 147 kids from the area attended.
“And that’s our biggest reward is just the excitement that they bring to us. We like to welcome them when they get here and build that excitement. I know they’ve been anticipating this ever since they got the invitation,” says event planner Keith Hamby.
“Russ and Tammy Kissel, the owners of all the rides and games, it was their idea to give back to the community.”
The Greater Columbus Fair runs through Wednesday.
