Warming shelter opens ahead of dropping temperatures

Local News

COLUMBUS, Ga — A local church opens its doors Friday to shelter those in need as the winter weather drops temperatures.

SafeHouse Ministries announces it will open a warming station from December 9 at 7 a.m. until December 10 at 2:30 p.m.

The temporary warming facility will be inside Rose Hill Methodist Church at 2101 Hamilton Road.

The program says no one will be turned away and it will be a “no questions asked” operation.
