Man arrested after robbing Wells Fargo Bank

COLUMBUS, Ga. – Police have arrested a 41-year-old Columbus man robbed the Wells Fargo Bank located on Milgen Road.

Curtis Huling will be charged with Armed Robbery, Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Crime and Theft by Taking.

Police say he stood in line and when he reached the teller counter he handed the teller a note that indicated that he was armed with a gun and that he wanted money. The teller complied and gave him an unspecified amount of US currency.

Huling then left the bank and got into a vehicle in the parking lot and fled the area. Descriptions of the suspect and suspect’s vehicle were broadcast to responding Patrol Units. The vehicle was located, unoccupied, in Carver Park and later discovered to have been stolen.

Huling was located a short distance away on Courtland Avenue and arrested without incident.

Huling will be in Recorders Court, Wednesday July 27 at 9 a.m.
