Residents react to Sunday’s powerful North Carolina earthquake


SPARTA, N.C. (CNN)- A North Carolina community near the border with Virginia is recovering from a damaging earthquake.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the 5.1 magnitude quake hit Sunday morning. It’s the largest quake to hit the area in more than 100 years.

Meredith Stutz went to the town of Sparta to survey the damage—and has reaction from stunned residents.
