Roll Call breaks the news Thursday citing an anonymous Republican closely involved with the decision.
CBS News reports Trump met with Pence early Wednesday, fueling further speculation that Pence could be chosen as the presumptive Republican nominee’s running mate in the general election.
Trump’s campaign Tweets no formal decision has been made, but he will formally announce his VP decision 11 a.m. Friday at Trump Tower in New York City.
