Police identify suspect in several Wednesday robbery attempts



8/18/2017, 4:00 p.m. — The Columbus Police Department says it has positively identified a suspect wanted in several robbery attempts and one armed robbery Wednesday.

A police report says officers are looking for 26-year-old Roderick Deangelo Hill.  Police believe Hill committed three attempted robberies and one armed robbery on Victory Drive, Macon Road, and Brown Avenue. The incidents happened between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Police say Hill should be considered armed and dangerous.

Police were able to identify Hill thanks to photos released Thursday that showed what police previously called a “person of interest” in the case.

If anyone sees the suspect, please contact 911 immediately.
