Kay Ivey receives endorsement from the NRA

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Governor Kay Ivey received an endorsement from the National Rifle Association Thursday.

In a letter, the NRA touted Kay Ivey’s “strong support for the Second Amendment and the hunting heritage of Alabamians.”

Kay Ivey said, “I’m honored to join the National Rifle Association in the fight to protect our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms.”

This is a major endorsement for Kay Ivey as she continues to build on her momentum in the lead up to the June 5 Republican primary. It is clear that pro-gun Alabamians are rallying behind Ivey as the strongest pro-gun candidate running for Governor. The NRA did not endorse any other Gubernatorial candidates.
