COLUMBUS, Ga. – Police are searching for at least four men who they say broke into eight homes in a North Columbus neighborhood. Police confirm the men did steal an AR-15 rifle and several electronics during the break-ins.
Police say the break-ins happened in the Bridlewood neighborhood. Neighbors say they’re not used to seeing this type of crime, but this Thursday morning at least eight home were broken into and there could be even more.
Police say the suspects escaped in a silver sedan. News 3 was on the scene when police were trying to catch the suspects. Our cameras were there when one officer had his gun drawn while entering into one of the homes. A silver sedan that the suspects were seen in has been taken in for investigation. We’re learning the vehicle was found at the Elizabeth Cante Apartments on Cusseta Road in Columbus.
No arrests have been made in this investigation and if you see anything suspicious you are asked to call police immediately.
