COLUMBUS, Ga. – A grand jury returned an indictment Thursday afternoon for the three suspects in the triple homicide that occurred back in January in Upatoi.
According to Mark Shelnutt, Raheem Gibson’s attorney and his co-defendants, Jervarceay Tapley and Rufus Burks, were indicted on six counts of Murder, First Degree Burglary, Kidnapping, and two counts of Theft by Taking a Motor Vehicle.
Shelnutt tells News 3 that his client has maintained a innocence throughout the whole trial and plans to enter a not guilty plea.
An arraignment hearing will held August 5 at 9 a.m.
