Valley police have person of interest in armed robbery at Waffle House

06/08/17 9:30 a.m. — Valley police have released a still photo of a person of interest in the Waffle House armed robbery.

VALLEY, Ala. — Valley Police confirm to News 3 there was an armed robbery at the Waffle House on 20th Avenue early Wednesday morning.

Witnesses say around 6:50 a.m., a single suspect came into the restaurant, jumped over the counter, and entered the manager’s office. The suspect confronted the store manager with a handgun and demanded money.

The suspect then left with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen on foot running into the neighborhood behind the restaurant. There were no reported injuries to any of the witnesses.

The suspect is described as a black male, late teens to early 20’s, between 5’10” to 6’ in height, and approximately 160-180 pounds in weight. He was wearing a black mask, black hoodie style top, black sweat pants, blue or black and white shorts, and black high-top tennis shoes with white soles.

Police continue to investigate the case.
