People across Baldwin County Alabama are cleaning up what Tropical Storm Gordon destroyed.
From flooding on the Eastern shore to a damaged church in South Baldwin County – damage scattered more than 140 miles.
At some point during the storm wind pushed the steeple off Romar Beach Baptist Church. Churchgoers say it’s a miracle nothing else was destroyed.
My first reaction was ‘thank God no one hurt and thank God there was no property damage here or next door,'” says Associate Pastor Robert Gardner.
Dauphin Island also got some of the strongest winds and surge from the storm when the storm made landfall along the Alabama/Mississippi state line.
The storm left thousands of people in the dark and claimed the life of a child.
