HOMEWOOD, Ala. (WIAT) — The cause of a fiery crash that killed three Parker High School students has been released by Alabama State Troopers.
Corp. Steve Smith says the early-morning April 30 crash resulted from drag racing and DUI, which includes alcohol and drugs.
18-year-old Joshua Tyrek Lang, 17-year-old Michael Dewayne Davis, and 18-year-old Jamorial Devonte Seay all lost their lives in the crash.
Around 4:45 a.m. on Sunday, April 30, law enforcement responded to the single-vehicle collision at the corner of Greensprings Highway and Lakeshore Drive. The vehicle had slammed into a utility pole and caught fire.
