GEORGIA — Icy weather didn’t stop the Georgia State Legislature from opening it’s 2018 session.
The state house and Senate convened Monday, January 8th at the state capitol in Atlanta.
The Georgia Constitution requires state lawmakers to open their annual session on the second Monday in January.
Election year politics are expected to play a key role during the legislature’s 40-day session, which will be the last for Gov. Nathan Deal.
