MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) — A 47-year-old Marietta man is wanted on a homicide charge in connection with a fatal crash last month.

Police say Hugo Ramos was processed through the Cobb County jail after the accident, but charges weren’t filed until Monday.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Ramos was driving a small pickup with his aunt, Josefina Ramos, at his side on Nov. 19.

Police aren’t sure if Ramos saw the red light in Austell, but he continued along the East-West Connector without stopping.

That’s when a Cobb County Transit bus smashed into the side of the truck.

The bus driver was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a nearby hospital, where Josefina Ramos was pronounced dead.

Hugo Ramos is facing a second-degree homicide charge.
