7 Day Forecast

All eyes on Alberto

Saturday will be our best day...Now focused on rapidly changing weather for the region Sunday-Wednesday,

There's a good possibility that the impacts from what will likely be a strong  tropical storm...for the coast and up to 18" and 5-8" across our area, modestly, depending on the path and if this storm slows down. If we see this becoming a strengthening coastal storm, the outer bands on the right quadrant places us in a risk for isolated tornadoes extending this far north.

The main impact is still flooding and falling trees and washed over roads and bridges in low lying drainage areas.

FACT: Tropical Storm Alberto 1994 was the costliest storm of the 1994 Atlantic hurricane season. The storm was the first named storm of the season.in July of that year...We could be seeing quite a flooding event again similar to 1994; hopefully this system doesn't stall and kicks out of the region by Wednesday. TBD
