LOCAL FORECAST: We are back to our stray shower and storm popping and building-in from the east from our high pressure system over the Tropical Atlantic basin. This high pressure system will also need to be watched closely if it helps to direct Florence and other potential tropical systems into the mid-Atlantic.
The easterly sub-tropical air mass will help add the fuel, with all the daytime heating, triggering these passing storms.
TROPICS FORECAST: We will be quite vigilant because we will continue to monitor the central Atlantic basin and keeping an eye out for all ensemble models, especially the GFS keeping major hurricane Florence alive well into the following week. Thursday 13th of September off the mid-Atlantic U.S. coast. Tropical update here Florence will still be a factor.
Also the tropical wave being investigated is taking a more southerly track and may place this in the eastern Caribbean around the same time as Florence… Helene pronunciation guide
