SHORT TERM: Widespread breezy and gusty conditions across the region Thursday ahead of a powerful system across the mid-section of the country. Winds on Wednesday were clocked at 97mph near Pueblo, CO.
This is a weak end of a category 2 Hurricane. We will be on the tail end of this storm system, which means we are weather aware for a wind event and weakened trees will topple over easily.
WEATHER AWARE FRIDAY 6AM-1PM: We are not seeing the set-up similar to two Sunday’s ago…Sigh…And it’s lacking the dynamic lift to produce supercell storms. However, the nature of this fast moving energized system will have winds up to 40-45mph. Occasionally, with this set-up we can see weak spin-up tornadoes.
WEEKEND THROUGH NEXT WEEK: The weather is looking sunny and dry…Cooler but seasonal.
