Rain is sticking around

Wednesday will likely see the highest amount of rainfall with a half to one inch expected through the day and evening. Scattered showers with some general thunderstorms develop in the afternoon and last through Wednesday night. As a low pressure system over the Gulf tracks northwest it will bring more rain ahead of it through Friday before broadening to a trough.

Although chances of showers continues through the weekend, there will be a little more sunshine with more breaks in the rain on Saturday and Sunday. 

The same pattern of on and off again scattered showers continues through the start of this coming week. It is not until this coming Thursday (May 24) that showers finally diminish and clear out completely.

Cloudy and humid conditions last all week with muggy morning in the upper 60s and afternoons in the upper 80s.
