We had a record warm day on Monday, with 81° beating the old record of 80°, set back in 2011. Tuesday’s record high is 80°, set back in 1986. We will come close to another record again, if not a record tie.
Showers and storms will not be as widespread because of this high pressure ridge. There will be isolated showers and storms erupting along the western side of this high pressure. This is a strong southerly air flow ahead of this storm system farther west.
The strongest portion of this system will not be able to work through this ridge for now. We see this ridge weaken by Sunday late, with the front finally swinging through the region. Until then we continue to feel this warmer than average pattern.
