The tornado threat has diminished and all tornado watches in our area have been canceled. We are now watching another round of showers with moderate to heavy rain and gusty wind to our west. This main line will move through after 11pm edt to eastern Alabama and closer to midnight for Columbus and surrounding areas.
One to three inches of accumulated rainfall are likely through midnight. Troup, Meriwether, Harris, Talbot and Taylor Counties are under an Areal Flood Watch from 8pm edt through Monday afternoon. This means there is some potential for flooding in low-lying areas north and east of Columbus.
Rain will clear by sunrise Monday morning. Breezy conditions continue through the afternoon with gusts up to 30mph.
