Get ready for a very unsettled pattern over the next several days. This unsettled pattern is driven by a cut-off low pressure system which will spin multiple waves of energy through the region.
More showers and thunderstorms are expected later this afternoon and evening across the Chattahoochee Valley with heavy rain, brief gusty winds the main threats. These showers and storms will initiate along the stalled out boundary that is currently over the area. This boundary starts to fade out Friday, but then we focus our attention on another front for Saturday.
The next front expected to move in early Saturday will have a little more energy with it with the chance for some strong to severe storms by the way of a Mesoscale Convective System. These impulses are very hard to pinpoint so the First Alert Weather Team will continue to analyze the latest with it, but we’re not done after this front comes through.
After this front, the next one looks to move through Wednesday into Thursday of next week.
Temperatures in the forecast period will be near average.
