Stuck in a pattern, with a mix of sun, clouds, and a few storms

7 Day Forecast

Still in a hit or miss pattern and now we are tracking the tropics. The persistent high pressure system over the mid-Atlantic and the tropics will continue to pull moisture and occasionally a few storm complexes, which kick off late day storms. They intensify with the daytime heating.

The extended forecast appears to be more of an ebb and flow with the surface high bringing more stable air at times and at other times we have to watch  for what is circulating around this high, i.e. THE TROPICS…

TROPICAL WAVE: The wave in the Caribbean will track across the central Gulf of Mexico Friday and remain off the Louisiana coast for much of this weekend.  Thanks to our high pressure system, this will force it to remain farther south in the open waters but we still will have enough moisture for a stray shower or storm.
