SUNDAY’S WEATHER AWARE: An unsettled forecast for severe weather

STORM TIMES (7am CT- Noon CT or 1pm ET): East Central Alabama will need to watch across our northwest counties along the I-85 corridor north and west.  

STORM TIMES (1pm ET-10pmET): West Central Georgia and southeast of Columbus late afternoon and evening:  All counties southeast of the I-85 corridor Lee county all eastward.  

What to expect:  This set-up has good wind shear at the surface and aloft making for good thunderstorm enhancement, possible supercells.

  1. Damaging wind up to 60+ mph.
  2. Isolated tornadoes advancing ahead of the squall line.
  3. 3-7pm looks to be the most active portion of the line and ahead of this line.
