Drizzle and light showers will be persistent through the late morning and early afternoon hours today as we close out the week.
For the weekend, we start out WEATHER AWARE for a few thunderstorms to become severe in the afternoon hours.
Timing right now will be from 3 p.m. eastern time through 7 p.m. The main threats will be damaging winds up to 60 mph, heavy rainfall and can’t completely rule out the threat for a brief spin-up tornado.
After all this, we will see windy conditions usher in much colder air across the south. Monday morning, you’ll notice the difference with temperatures in the middle 20s. However, factor in that wind, the wind chill value will be in the teens in most areas.
