Thursday is a WEATHER AWARE day across the Chattahoochee Valley as we expect strong to damaging winds up to 60 mph associated with a squall line ahead of a cold front.
This line of thunderstorms will move into the valley around noon/11 a.m CT for our East Alabama counties. Storms near Columbus around 2 p.m. and eventually out of the region by 6 p.m this evening.
Tornadoes can not be completely ruled out as this line of storms continue to move east at around 40 mph.
After the storms move out, light showers will still be possible through overnight Friday until the cold front moves through Friday afternoon.
Friday Night Football will be cloudy and rain free with breezy conditions at time.
