Fred spawns tornado in Meriwether County

LUTHERSVILLE, Ga. (WRBL) — An early morning tornado struck portions of Meriwether County Tuesday morning as Tropical Depression Fred moved through west Georgia.

A storm report from the National Weather Service reports several large trees down across Coleman Creek Circle. The tornado occurred around 4:30 AM while embedded in an outer rain from Fred.
